True North Intercultural offers several online professional development programs to help you develop your intercultural teaching and learning capacity. All programs are appropriate for anyone working in or around higher education, whether faculty or staff/administrators.

Self-Paced Online Course

Perhaps you’ve heard the term ‘intercultural competence’ (or similar) thrown around, and are curious to learn more. Or you’re looking for intercultural training that will be directly applicable to your work in higher education, without requiring a large investment of time or resources.

Signature Train-the-Trainer Program

Facilitating Intercultural Learning is our signature twelve-week train-the-trainer program for higher education faculty and staff who are not only interested in developing their own intercultural competence, but also want to learn how to design, facilitate, and integrate intercultural learning into their classes, programs, or other work.

Through online modules, small group coaching, personal assessment and 1:1 debriefing (using the Intercultural Development Inventory), this innovative professional development program combines the convenience of online learning with a highly relational, interactive, and supportive cohort experience. Alongside a diverse group of educators, you'll learn to better understand and navigate cultural differences, facilitate others' intercultural learning, and be a more effective and inspired educator.

Advanced Training & Support

The Intercultural Coaching Circle is open only to alumni of the Facilitating Intercultural Learning program.

While Facilitating Intercultural Learning focuses on helping you develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to further your own intercultural development, design intercultural curricula, and facilitate intercultural learning, the Intercultural Coaching Circle is focused on implementation and practice. Through monthly advanced trainings and group coaching, this membership program offers support, guidance, and inspiration as you continue on your intercultural teaching and learning journey.
